| Laura Riley was born in Kent
but has lived in Scotland since 1992. In any case she has the
proverbial Scottish grandmother.
She started singing before she could walk at the tender age of
one! She is renowned for singing the saddest songs she can get her
vocal chords around. "If it's not sad, it's not worth
singing!"
Seriously she is making special efforts to add some happy songs
to her repertoire as a concession to the mental health and well
being of her audience!
She sings anything folky from Scottish and English traditional
to contemporary and she's even penned the odd ditty herself.
